Who is la máscara?
It is considered to be the television channel with the highest audience in the Mexican territory[1] and is the main channel of Grupo Televisa. It is the oldest Mexican national television network, and was its origin station, XEW-TV, the second oldest station in Mexico, only behind XHTV-TDT.
The first broadcast was of a baseball game from Parque Delta, later known as Parque del Seguro Social, in Mexico City. On that broadcast were: Roberto De la Rosa (cameraman), Roberto Kenny (producer), Germán Adalid (assistant) and Pedro Septien ‘El mago’ (narration).
In 1985 its name «El Canal de las Estrellas» was born due to the repertoire of actors, actresses and celebrities that appeared on the channel. In 1997, following the death of Emilio Azcarrága Milmo, the channel underwent several restructurings, which led to a change in its image.
XERV 9.Uses the identity/logo of Las Estrellas but its programming is local.[9] Station XHTAM-TDT is the full-time rebroadcaster of Las Estrellas for the Reynosa and Matamoros area.

Las Estrellas («The Stars»; antes El Canal de las Estrellas, o «The Channel of the Stars») es una de las redes fundamentales de Televisa, con estaciones afiliadas en todo México, abanderadas en la XEW-TDT en la Ciudad de México. Muchos de los programas de Las Estrellas se ven en Estados Unidos en Univisión, UniMás y Galavisión[1].

Las Estrellas tiene su origen en la XEW-TV, que comenzó a emitir el 21 de marzo de 1951. El canal era una emisora hermana de la legendaria emisora de radio XEW-AM, propiedad de Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta, que también era el propietario del recién estrenado canal. Fue el segundo canal de televisión comercial que se estableció en la Ciudad de México, después de XHTV canal 4, propiedad del periódico Novedades. La primera transmisión de la XEW-TV fue un partido de la Liga Mexicana en directo y en directo, con Pedro Septién, un veterano de la radio, como comentarista. Además de las transmisiones deportivas en vivo, la XEW-TV transmitió inicialmente películas de la Época de Oro del cine mexicano, ya que sus estudios en Chapultepec 18 estaban aún en construcción. El complejo de estudios, conocido como Televicentro, se inauguraría en enero de 1952. Poco después, el alcance de la programación se ampliaría para incluir programas de variedades en vivo y espectáculos de teatro televisivo, en un estilo similar al de los programas de radio de la XEW.
