luz casal – historia de un amor
What could be the best song after 2500 songs and 200 albums? «Boleros are like tangos -says Gaby Vargas Aguilar-. Each bolero has its moment. Which tango do we like the most? They all have their moment, that instant when one feels that it is the most beautiful thing to listen to, it is the most beautiful song. There is a range of songs that in each moment of us is our favorite. There were many tangos by Gardel that left deep traces. The bolero is the same. And it will be the same as long as there is someone at night that in the warmth of a pillow says, holding his breath, «kiss me, kiss me a lot, I’m afraid of losing you, losing you again».

Erich Segal originally wrote the screenplay and sold it to Paramount Pictures. While the film was being produced, Paramount wanted Segal to write a novel based on it, to be published on Valentine’s Day to help pre-publicize the film’s release. When the novel came out, it became a bestseller on its own before the movie.
The original director was Larry Peerce. He retired and was replaced by Anthony Harvey . Harvey retired and was replaced by Arthur Hiller. Jimmy Webb wrote a score for the film that was not used.
The lead role was turned down by Beau Bridges , Michael York and Jon Voight . Actor Ryan O’Neal received the lead role on the recommendation of Erich Segal, who had worked with the actor previously; he was paid $25,000.
Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars and called it «infinitely better than the book,» adding, «because Hiller turns the lovers into individuals, of course, the film’s conclusion moves us.»[5] Charles Champlin of the Los Angeles Times was also positive, writing that although «the plot has been honored many times … What matters is the revelation: the surfaces and the textures and the charm of the actors. And it’s hard to see how these quantities could have been significantly improved on in ‘Love Story.'»[6]

Historia de un amor is a song that talks about the loss of love and the loss of a partner. But beyond being a composition about separation or breakup, it is a song of mourning, since it is about the death of the person you love.
Carlos Eleta Almarán composed this sad farewell song from a tragic event that happened in his family. His brother, Fernando, lost his beloved wife, a heartbreaking moment that inspired Carlos to write this song for his brother as a tribute to his late wife and the love they felt. If you pay attention to the lyrics, you can even notice that the song talks about death and the loss of the person you love the most.Ya no estás más a mi lado, corazónEn el alma solo tengo soledadY si ya no puedo verte¿Por qué Dios me hizo quererte para hacerme sufrir más?
Luis Miguel also adopted this bolero for his album Segundo Romance, which was released in 1994 along with other songs such as El día que me quieras, La media vuelta and Somos novios. The album Segundo Romance was produced by Juan Carlos Calderón, Kiko Cibrian and maestro Armando Manzanero. You may also be interested in:
