Between 1966 and 1970 he leads the Mallorcan rock band Z-66. In 1970 he began his musical career as a soloist, taking his artistic surname from the name of his native town, and in 1971 he released his first single record with the Odeon label: Canto al amor, an adaptation of the symphony no. 8 by the composer Franz Schubert.

In 1985 he returned to the musical world with the Catalan-language album Entre cella i cella («Between eyebrow and eyebrow»), which includes a curious version of the song «Mediterráneo» by Joan Manuel Serrat sung in Catalan for the first time, as well as an adaptation of «Le météque» by Georges Moustaki.
