La sexta a la carta salvados

When I was born I was hidden for three days under a towel. You can say I came into this world but for me the curtain didn’t go up, there was no celebration for my birth but a lot of sadness. My family did not want anyone to see me because I was missing parts of my body. They had been eaten by a pill.

Throughout my childhood, I went to sleep every night with one thought, with one hope: that when I woke up, my leg and arm would have grown. Blessed innocence. I matured all at once, in blood and fire, the day I knew that such a prodigy would never happen.

My name, my age, my marital status, is irrelevant. I am me but there are many of us. Too many. That is why I am sending you this letter because I do not want to personalize in me this drama that is collective and universal but that, as in so many other cases, the interests of the big ones together with the ignorance of the most humble have made it go unnoticed.

We will not be silenced and when we are gone, I have no doubt that the people who love us will continue in the struggle. But it is better to do something now, you can always do something against ignominy and infamy: denounce it.

the sixth night

Évole and Thalidomide: An anonymous victim of the drug says in his letter to the journalist and presenter: «when I was born they hid me for three days under a towel; you can say that I came into this world but for me the curtain did not rise, there was no celebration for my birth but a lot of sadness. My family did not want anyone to see me because I was missing parts of my body. A pill had eaten them».

And the fact is that these victims assure that «we will not be silenced and when we are gone, the people who love us will continue in the fight», something that has been demonstrated since in the four days that the face to Évole has been published on his website, it has already been read by more than 6,000 people.

The question is, why doesn’t La Sexta dedicate a program to these victims? It is a space that explores social, economic and political problems, so is it a political or economic issue?

Antonio García Ferreras echoed this Tuesday on Al Rojo Vivo some statements made by Nicolás Maduro in which he confessed again that he was a regular follower of La Sexta. But not precisely of his program, but of the one on the network’s afternoons presented by Frank Blanco.

«We are permanently connected loners», reflects Jordi Évole quoting the words of sociologist Zygmunt Bauman in the interview that can be seen this Sunday at 21.30 in the return of Salvados to La Sexta. The program will analyze in his return the addiction to cell phones: «It is the first time I address a topic that ends up splashing me very directly,» confesses the journalist, who reveals that he uses his phone an average of four hours a day.

Jordi Évole returns in form to La Sexta with an installment of Salvados dedicated to cell phone addiction. The program, which scores 13.3%, is the most watched program on Sunday (2,699,000 viewers). Risto Mejide achieved an outstanding 9.2%, a record. The GH VIP debate (13.8%) drops and loses to Antena 3’s El Peliculón (14.6%). See data for all channels.

The deputy secretary general of Ciudadanos, José Manuel Villegas, has expressed this Monday the «repulsion» of his party against the «bully» attitude of Arnaldo Otegi in the interview broadcast this Sunday on La Sexta and has rejected the «chumminess» that, in his opinion, some political parties maintain with the nationalist leader.

Jordi Évole has received death threats for the interview that La Sexta broadcasted this Sunday with Arlando Otegi in Salvados. Antonio García Ferreras asked him about this aspect in Al rojo vivo.

Jordi Évole returned to La Sexta after a week of hiatus with the interview to Arlando Otegi, which achieved a 15.1% share in La Sexta. Salvados faced the multichannel premiere of First Dates on Mediaset channels, which achieved an outstanding 19.9%. See the data for all channels. | Check here the social audience

The socialist parliamentary spokesman, Antonio Hernando, has branded this Monday as «repugnant» the words of the recounting that the day that ETA killed Miguel Angel Blanco he «was on the beach like any other day» and believes that this shows his «immorality».
